St James Churchyard, Chipping Campden, Cotswolds
Visited June 2013
In the leafy (if rather touristy, these days) Cotswolds, there are some lovely churches with country churchyards. The church of St James in Chipping Campden dates back to the Norman period, although most of it is from 1250-1500 or so. The churchyard is peaceful as most tourists go into the church, and there are gravestones dating back to the 18th century (maybe earlier, but I didn't find them). If you're in the area, do pay a visit, and be sure to go into the church too, it's lovely.
